Best ryzen build for my budget?

What's a good ryzen build for 800$? I technically already have a cheap 450 watt psu and a 1tb hdd as well as a case so I don't need those, but other than that, what is the best I can build for my price range?

For that budget you'll want to wait for the Ryzen 5 to be released.  April 11.

because you need a GPU as well.  I'm assuming you want decent gaming performance?

Right now the cheapest Ryzen, the R7 1700 is sitting around $320 and with the mobo, you could probably get for around $100-$120 theres $420-$440 or half your budget already gone. Then you gotta get DDR4 RAM which will be $60-$100 bring up your total to $460-$540, a good PSU will set you back around $70-$100 bring your total up to $530-$640, a budget case will be around $50 brining the total to $570-$680, and just a single 1TB harddrive will cost around $45 bringing to cost up to around $615-$725. That only leaves about $75-$185 so you could get like an RX 480 4GB adition or go a bit overbudget and get the 8GB Ill try to put togther a build for you.

The Ryzen 5 1600x will likely beat the 1700 in gaming due to high clock speeds, even if only 6 cores compared to 8.  The 1500x is also expected to do really well and is even cheaper.  These CPUs will free up a little more budget for a nice GPU.  If you need 8 cores, by all means get a Ryzen 7 1700 build with a cheaper GPU such as RX 470.

Honestly you could choose between the RX 480 8GB or the 1060 6 Gb and will have similar pricing and performance. You could go with a 1070 if you were willing to but I doubt the PSU would be able to handle it. Honestly you may just wanna go with the RX 480 or 1060 6Gb and get a better fully modular PSU that you will be able to use again in the future. Heres with the part switched. Just to note you could go with like a 650W and be fine but I choose 750W since I believe future GPUs will require more power as time goes on.

What is it for? Are you doing lots of hardcore number crunching, hence the need for an 8 core? Or are you just gaming? When it comes to just gaming Ryzen's pretty bad for the money -- when the quad core Ryzen CPUs they will be cheap enough to offset this, and may well perform better if they can clock higher (we don't know yet).

This is what I was getting at.  Ryzen 7 1700 is pretty cool, but for a gaming rig the 1600x will be cheaper and faster.  With the money saved you could add some extra RAM (16 GB is recommended) and possibly get a GTX 1070, or pocket the savings.
