Help Microsoft Telementary is making me angry

It's just started this month and It's irritating me it's running my disk at 100% which isn't a issue for most people but I play Osu! which really needs disk to be low

After I close it, it comes back shortly afterwards, but I've run virus scans too

This sounds like you cloned your drive or upgraded windows without clean installing?

This isn't telemetry, it is a windows update service malfunctioning.

Sometimes caused by interrupting an update, or shutting down a computer before it finished.

Hmmm, is there a way to fix it, and the only way that I know this happened was just randomly after I restarted my computer, it could've happen while there was a storm?

Possibly, I always clean install windows on any prebuilt computers to prevent problems like this from happening.

Also gets rid of all the unnecessary bloatware.

This computer didn't come with "bloatware" it just had me create an account with my settings and stuff

do I have to format to clean install? Because I can't use the windows tool to format for some reason

100% disk usage might also be happening if Windows is updating itself

the best way is to check Resource Monitor - disk usage and see what process is being a dick

Well it's a program I found in task manager called Microsoft Compatibility Telementary which is a pain

Please start quoting people so we know who you're talking to and get notifications about it.

 

If you leave it alone for awhile it might complete whatever it's trying to do.  You should also go into Privacy settings and disable everything there except for Smart Screen.

You can try sfc /scannow in CMD, updating windows, or leaving it run for several days.
