New mobo not detecting USB!

Nubaca

Hey guys just got my Asus strix z270e installed and booted up problem is it recognizes all the USB that is plugged in in the bios but when I launch windows and boot nothing is recognized except whatever I have plugged into my one USB 3.1 slot, I've updated the bios and drivers to no avail. Any ideas this is a nightmare I can't play on my new rig I just built!

No it doesn't work it, when I installed windows and it launched the first time everything was fine when it was finished installing it asked to reboot after I did my keyboard and all other USB devices turned off except whatever I had plugged into the USB 3.1

Unassigned Drive letters maybe, so the device is plugged in but it hasn't been assigned a letter, like your Operating system Drive is the C:\ drive.

Go into Disk Management and check if there is a device in there that doesn't have a letter assigned.

Does a windows Notification pop up or anything when a device is plugged in, or does anything new pop up in the device Manager?

No no sound or showing in device manager, if I unplug my mouse from USB 3.1 it turns off no other USB 3.0 is being recognized if I plug in anything to the 3.1 it works problem is I only have 1 slot for 3.1. All devices connect in bios but not windows

Hmm weird, Sounds Mostly Like a driver issue, Is windows Updated, are ALL Motherboard drivers installed, maybe try a re-installation of all USB drivers and chipset drivers
