What's wrong with Corsair VS series PSUs?

redblade

I haven't seen anyone using corsair vs series PSUs for their builds nor many recommend it. I see that they are cheaper but has 3years of corsair warranty. I just ordered a VS650W for my new kabylake build  so any advises ?

Those aren't good-enough for high-power draw systems, they're similar in terms of quality as the CX-green series IIRC. If I switched my XFX Pro 650W XXX Edition to a Corsair VS650 one it could crash with my OC'd Fury during a longer gaming session despite the same theoretical wattage...

Get the corsair cx450m (newer version with better performance and quality).

It will work. I wouldn't recommend under average PSU for such an expensive PC.

The minimum I would be willing to use for that PC is the new (gray sticker) Corsair CX550M which are decent and not that much more expensive.
