Used 4790K?

Looking at buying a 4790K, want to know if you guys think it's a good idea to buy a used one I found. It's at $260 US, seller claims it's been used but not OC'd. Would you do it?

Never bought used personally, but I'd offer him $200 if anything :P

Maybe $250 isn't that great of a deal for used then? I have no problem sticking to my i5 for now if I can get that much of a better price.

best you can do is talk the owner down, 200usd would be a good price range.

Offer him $200, I would pay $225 max for that part. also don't worry about the condition of the CPU. CPUs are the safest thing to buy used. I have literally dropped LGA 1155 CPUs on my laminate floor tile at home and the CPUs still worked. These things can't be broken. (although PGA CPUs are a bit different since the pins can break).

Thanks, he was firm on the $260 unfortunately so I'm gonna keep looking for now.
