Custom case made out of wood? Should i even bother?

Hello! I was thinking of building my own case out of wood. I want something custom that i could expand my current watercooling loop in and I thought that wood would be very moddable if I needed to change something.

First of all do you think that it would be doable?

I have attached a concept image.

p.s. I have a lot of free time and I am willing to challenge myself.

if you have the time and skill to dont see why not, there souldnt be any problem using wood just make sure to clean out and dust from it. might also be a good idea to ad some wheels it may get heavy.

If you have woodworking skills it will be worth it. If you have nice wood to work with then it will def be worth it. Why not make a desk or buy a antique desk and mod it

I have actually played with the thought of a desk but I am still in the "planning stage" and I am open to ideas.

I have a nearby company who sells acrylic panels that I could use as a window.

you may need to play around with different thickness of would for some parts but and you will need to plan it out but as long as it has cooling and everything fits i dont see the problem just remember the saying measure twice cut once

I made my own case out of wood last year, scrapped the project very quickly. I found out I suck at woodworking and painting and that my way of screwing it all together was stupid.

If you decide to make a desk PC I would suggest watching the desk PC builds a couple of times and then adapt the desk that they made. And with acrylic panels look on Amazon or somewhere similar as that could get it.

Will be doable if you are a bit handy with woodworking. But make sure that cooling and airflow can be done properly enough.

For flexibility you could make the areas that you use for mounting stuff slideable (if you are precise enough in your wood working) to keep it extreme good modable incase you need to replace a part. Would require a good build up planning ahead but can be done. And you surely can make it your own. Might even use sound dampening material if you are willing to spend some dosh.
