Hi, i bid on a Core 2 quad CPU

And i found a xeon one for better price for money

SO

how would i cancel my bid on the ebay item

You'll get outbid if you only put in $5. If not, turn around and sell the CPU for much more than you bought it for.

I doubt you wouldn't be outbid. However, if it's looking like you'll win, you can always contact the seller and explain you no longer want it and if they're decent I think they can cancel your bid.

I don't think you can, but 5 days is a long time for something to stay at $5.

 

At the end of the day, having a backup CPU for $5 isn't the worst thing that could happen. Keep it as a conversation piece on your coffee table.

When in doubt, re-format.
