EVGA FTW GTX 970 with reference BIOS

I have an EVGA FTW GTX 970. I am completely new to BIOS flashing and probably already know the answer to the question I'm about to ask but I'm going to ask it anyway way to avoid bricking my card.

 

Would putting a bios from the default Nvidia blower style GTX 970 on the EVGA FTW GTX 970 do any harm(I can't see how it could)? Can I use the card normally with this BIOS?

It should just change the clock speeds. Might lose any extended volt control though. And zero fan mode is gone.

Because it isn't the same card but only the outer cage and cooler is changed (:

If you can see no way it could hurt your card then yes its safe.
