I just built my first gaming PC and i don't know what games to buy! any recommendations?

gta 5 is still pretty good - and some company either activision or EA is giving away free games for their anniversary ask @deXxterlab97 or @STRMfrmXMN for more info about that - but a quick google search - "gaming company anniversary free games" should do it

not really, get it at the christmas steam sale - play some free games for now and wait a bit for the christmas sale to get a lot of games

Suggesting TF2. Took me 3600 hrs to get bored.  It's free, too.

L4D2 is my personal favorite though also Sims 4 is there

My personal favorite list that I played:

• Left 4 Dead 2. Not demanding, fun with friends
• CS GO. Skins and stuff. Maybe not fun if you don't speak Russian
• Mirror's Edge, best parkour + story. ME Catalyst has cooler graphics/gameplay but poor storyline
• Battlefield and Call of Duty series. Nice FPS game and also online. Single player not bad
• Portal, Portal 2. Great puzzle games
• Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 and Broken mirror. My favorite childhood game
• Dungeon Defenders 1. Fun to play with friends but it's old and not much are playing anymore. DS2 is total crap with all those pay 2 win thing
• Life is Strange. Has the best story ever of all.
• Need For Speed and Forza for gaming
• Rocker League. Fun game with friends
• GMOD. Lots of custom game modes makes it fun (those that are hosted by servers)
• Other games (not played but got recommended): The Witcher series. Tom Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider, Crysis series, GTA series (played SA and 4 only), Overwatch, Assasin's Creed series, Fallout series, Far Cry series, Doom.

If you're looking for a great story-line I can recommend the Mass Effect trilogy. You can get the whole trilogy as a package on Origin and they are awesome games!
