Chances are what you paint it with will show, so you'll be staring at a black mark which will annoy you. You can repaint the whole thing easy enough, or use plasti-dip. Just mask off the fins/tubing and go at it. Get your mummy to help you though... :P

Is it even visible with the side panel on?  If it really bothers you, then I'd remove it from the case and paint the entire thing. Just be sure to cover the fins and anything that you don't want painted.

Very easy fix plus it's not really broken

Agreed, he'll probably commit if he saw my refurb H100i which I got 2.5 years ago :P (bent fins, scratches everywhere but it's still works and cools...very well actually, 7 volts on the fans, 65C max underload with an OCed 5820k)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Sand it down and repaint the whole thing with a can of primer and spray paint.

Really easy to do just use cardboard and tape to mask off the fins, and some kitchen roll to block the ports.
