NZXT Kraken X61

Hello all! My NZXT Kraken X61 pump speeds are at 2400 rpm at idle, which is very loud, especially when watching movies or doing other work without headphones. Is there any way to lower this? I already tuned the fans themselves down in the bios, but the pump remains noisy. If I restart the computer after a gaming session it does quiet down somewhat. Thanks for your time.

Are you using NZXT's CAM to control your AIO? If so, try the "Silent" setting. If not, I recommend downloading and using CAM.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

I should have clarified: I am using the CAM software. It allows me to adjust the fan curve, which helped some, but the pump it self is more audible than the fans. In the CAM software, there is not an option to adjust the pump rpm.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I am still having this issue. Is the Kraken just a very loud cooler to begin with? I have heard many people recommending the Corsair series of coolers more than the NZXT ones as of late. My pump speed jumped to 3100 rpm for a few moments, and it truly sounds awful. It averages around 2600.

then the best thing would start a support ticket with NZXT and get support or RMA for the product.

doubtful the pump is to be undervolted to prevent pump noises. i know cooler master does this in some AIO lines.

Thank you. I'll ask NZXT what's up this weekend, and hopefully they can resolve it. My fedora is off to you.
