Intel still isn't playing nice with AMD, So I abused the CPU

Intel continues to be rude to AMD, so I continue to abuse this crap Pentium G840 (which isn't a terrible CPU but only gets 180ish cinebench R15 score). The process had the term "Fuck you AMD" etched into the nickel plating on the copper, but I took even further into the copper layer then roughly sanded off the remaining nickel to make this cute little joke. I think thee CPU still works, not that I'd be using it for anything. What should I do with it now? Lap the IHS flat and remove the etching, lap it smooth and leave it the etching?

so ... you are "punishing" Intel by buying their CPU and proceeding to write curse words aimed at AMD

I got it 2nd hand for €4, with €4 shipping. I just wanna fuck around with the processor really.

Pentium CPU is being rude to AMD, so I punished it. (It's called creating a narrative) it's pretty shit though, dual core 2.8GHz.

Why it doesnt say "F U Intel" ?
AMD has tons of $h!t CPU series too, fyi

use it in a non-gaming budget build and give it to someone... That's what I do with any low grade hardware I come across.  almost everyone in my family has a decent desktop that I paid no more than 50$ to build out of used parts

By time I buy another LGA 1155 board, RAM, HDD, and GPU it would be pretty much a €150-€200 build

step 1: have a camera ready, or just your smartphone

step 2: go on Amazon, or your favorite shop, and order a AMD Opteron 8435

step 3: start recording

step 4: engrave "Fuck You AMD" on the IHS; "Fuck You Intel" might yeld better results .. depends ... just buy 2 Opterons just in case

step 5: post the video on YouTube with AdSense account enabled

step 6: proffit

I have a server with some opterons. I don't think I'd get that many views tbh either, adsense is like twelve cents a video with a fair few views.

non-sense, im not talking about a gaming machine here.  I mean a basic PC since that is what 90% of people need anyways.  I've build several similar spec'd pc's for people and they're all still pumping after a few years.

The onboard graphics in this CPU doesn't seem to work (I tried two boards) that board listed in for parts or not working and is a custom form factor for Dell machines. The rest when shipping to Ireland is factored makes it still close to a €100 machine, lucky I have a case and PSU left over (case is HP and PSU is dell, not the best but budget)

didn't realize you're in ireland and you would probably have to spend more than 3minutes finding parts like I just did xD

dont let the form factor scare you, all you need is a drill and a few 1cent standoffs

Why one of my skills in machine and fabrication (which is fun to build your own cases) it can sometimes be a pain haha. Boards are more expensive over here, like the one you hyperlinked there

"Shipping:
Does not ship to Ireland "

yeah, I was just trying to give you an idea, not actual shopping links.  You'd have to source stuff locally or in some other way....

anyways, you win mate.  Its impossible and etching messages to nobody in the IHS is definitely a better idea.

Cheers
