NZXT Kraken x61 Cooling

Go to solution Solved by catzambia,

as long as you keep your core temps below 80c and core voltage below 1.4 you're totally safe. Push it to the limit man!

I don't know if my Kraken is working as efficiently as it should.  I'm running an i7 6700k at default clock 4.0 GHZ speed and 1.2 volts.  At an FPU load on aida64, my max temp is 64 C and is normally about around 62. This doesn't sound as cool as other peoples results, but maybe they're not running an FPU stress test.  My Kraken rad is on top, and fans on the bottom, pushing upwards as said in the manual.

Case fans are NOT stock, and all custom so airflow is plenty.  It's to plenty my gpu runs much cooler than my CPU at under full load about 60 Celsius.

Any ideas?

Stress tests such as AIDA64 don't necessarily reflect realistic gaming temps. You're fine, 64C is great.

That seems reasonable esp if you are using the stock fan profile.
