Whats the flaw? Bottlenecking possibility?

So I'm just playing with some PC build for past days,

And I've made a list of components

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sqzZ4D

Is there gonna be a bottlenecking?

Note : I'm new to PC and The budget is $1300

No, you'll be fine.

EDIT: People are saying that you need a bigger PSU but it's more than enough. A good 550W PSU can easily handle a GTX 980Ti. A 750W can handle two GTX 980Tis in SLI so it wouldn't make sense to get a bigger 750W PSU for just one.

Nope you'll be fine

you might want a slightly bigger PSU though like a 750W

CPU: Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition 3960X | Motherboard: Intel DX79SR "Stormville" | RAM: 32GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series DDR3 PC3-12800 (4x 8GB) Quad-Channel | GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 970 FTW 4GB in SLI (I have Many other builds plus 100+ Macs (don't judge me)... Many specs are listed on my profile)

Only one thing, you might want a bigger wattage PSU. I would recommend at least a 850W psu. Other than that, your fine.

Were you looking to complete a certain aesthetic? Black and red is pretty prominent lol.

Anyway as far as your concern for a bottleneck, the only worry I have is a lack of an SSD. It's not a huge thing, but you wouldnt regret getting it. I want to make a suggestion, but first things first: what is your intention for this machine? I assume gaming, but your choice of an i7 and 16GB makes me ask.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

There's no bottleneck...

pretty sure the gpu will bottleneck the cpu :D

650W is enough unless he goes SLI

which he isnt going to do with that motherboard

the only thing i would add is an SSD, which can be done later

I was thinking because he might want some overhead if he wants to add things later

As another poster said, this setup really, really, really needs a SSD.  And failing that, at least a 7200rpm drive (ie: HGST "7" series).

No SSD for the OS? You sure? A gaming PC should definitely have one. Even the crappiest SSDs are twice as fast as HDDs.

is more Watt = more performance on the GPU?

no, the performance have nothing to do with wattage

well... it does but you cant judge it based on just the wattage

best way to judge performance is through benchmarks

Ehhmm.. Am i missing something?

Since when does a 980ti bottleneck a 6700k?

I want to believe that you're being sarcastic...

no? go ask everyone

a 980ti will bottleneck your system in well optimized games

its just how computer works `-`

So you're saying that a 980 ti is too slow (in well optimized games) for a 6700k???

As far as i know "bottleneck" is when one component is slowing down some others, i just can't imagine a 980ti slowing down anything...

But if you're talking about the limitations of a GPU, compared to the limitations of a CPU, that's another story...

For example a 3700k with a 980ti will perform almost equal than a 6700k with a 980ti...

A CPU will stay competitive for a longer time than a GPU...

my point is ALL systems have a bottleneck

and normally its the gpu bottlenecking the rest of the system in games

if there is no bottleneck, your system will just run faster and faster, until one component cant keep up

thats why most people's gpu usage is pinned at 99% while gaming

one thing is a bottleneck, and another very diferent is a performance limiting factor...

It would be a bottleneck if the CPU doesn't allow a GPU to show it's full performance

A limiting factor is when every component it's showing it's full performance , with no holdings, but one of the components can't perform any better. THAT component is the limiting factor (GPU in this case)

no not really

in games well optimized games (let's just say games from now on k?) your cpu isnt going to be pinned at 100%

there's no reason to as your gpu is pinned at 100% and not producing enough frames to require the cpu to be pinned at 100%

this IS a GPU bottleneck

so if according to what you're saying, if the cpu is pinned at 100% while the gpu isnt (cpu bottlenecking)

its just limiting factor? (im suspecting limiting factor = bottlenecking)
