what is a display port?

i have find this in a website... bt icant understand what is display port?? that supports 4096 x 2304 @ 60 Hz video output??

i am so much scared.... about this..... i am on the way to build my new pc..bt i cant understand what connection should i choose??

please tell me what si display port?

and what is the difference between display port and vga port and hdmi port??

Display Port is the best thing since sliced bread. I find that it's the best display interface (thus far).

If you don't know what Display Port is, and haven't taken the 20 seconds to Google it and find out. Then I suggest just ignoring it and sticking with HDMI.

displayport is like DVI or HDMI but just on steroids

Also VGA is analog only, DVI both analog and digital and the others are

digital only.
