Monitor vs case

Should i save for a 144hz monitor or get a new case to make mt gpu temps lower? It sometimes get pretty hot :P

R9 390,  i7 4790, dell xps 8700 case and mobo,  16gb ram ddr3,  one exhaust fan. Im pretty worried that the temps will get too high with this crappy airflow..

Did the motherboard come with the dell ? If so it might not fit in a regular Atx because company's like dell often use Non-standard sized parts.

 

However if it is a Atx/Matx/Itx. Id go for the case

does it look rectangular?

 

if so, its ATX

 

if it looks like a square then its m-ATX

No,  390 are single slot. It is the regular msi r9 390 (not the one in the picture obviously)

Get a new case if the motherboard is standardised.

No,  390 are single slot. It is the regular msi r9 390 (not the one in the picture obviously) 

390 are dual slot, (not dual PCIE slot) aka they take two spaces in the back of the PC, I asked that question based on the card in the picture lol

Ohh im sorry yeah,  i guess there are no dual pci alot cards, my mistake. The 390 is a dual slot yep. Im gonna measure my mobo soon. If its a perfect square, will it fit fractal design define s? Im still learning the mobo area

By measuring it we can tell if it is full atx, micro atx etc

I measured it for about 24 cm perfect square, is it possible? If there is such a size,  what is it,  itx atx matx.. I wanna get the define s today and i wanna be sure it will fit

Micro ATX will fit all ATX and mATX cases, provided the holes aren't in a random allocation
