CPU cooler for Corsair Air 240, max 120mm.

Hemanse

Bought a used 2600k machine a few days ago to use in my living room, it came with just the stock intel cooler, never used it before and i can now see why people dislike it, holy crap that thing is lound and obnoxious :) not only that its not exactly very effective. Would like to overclock the 2600k a bit, from what i have heard the 2600k is a nice and easy overclocker.

The Air 240 according to the specs can only hold a max 120mm tall cooler, what would be the best solution here? Thought about like a NZXT X31, but not exactly a budget cooler :) The Cooler Master Seidon 120V V2 is also on sale this weekend, but doesnt seem to get the best reviews.

Ryzen 7 3700x, MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX, 16GB Ballistix Elite 3600MHz, MSI RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Trio, Corsair RM750x V2

Shopping in Denmark and located in Denmark :) So far i have been looking at the Cryorig C1, Cooler Master Gemini II, Raijintek Pallas and Phanteks PH-TC12LS. All downdraft coolers that im sure will fit, pretty broad range in terms of cost tho and im not sure if any of them is gonna leave any room for overclocking.

Some reviews suggest that the Air 240 could house a 130mm cooler, but not sure if thats actually the case. Would hate to buy something and then figure out once unpacked that it isnt gonna fit.

Can you post a link?
A downdraft cooler wouldn't match the airflow layout of the case. A traditional tower cooler would be better.

Corsair is undercutting the height clearance of the case since a 125mm cooler like the NH-U9S fits. https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18706318

Sure if you mean a link for a Danish shop then something like https://www.computersalg.dk/l/1338/cpu-k-248-ling

I guess the U9S might be an option with 2 fans on, seems like its decently priced at 60$

Yeah, it seems the NH-U9S would be a great option looking at the website.
