What happens if you don't activate Windows 10?

I've downloaded Windows 10 to my Grannys PC but in Control Panel it says its not activated. What happens if I don't activate it? I downloaded it by pressing I don't have a product key" during instillation. Thanks!

It will keep nagging you to activate and will disable some features.

 

Purchase a key off of Reddit for like $10.

I think they also disable directx or something like that

Yep, no DX11. Tried to run Cloud Gate and it said DX was missing

Can't you sign up to be an insider to basically keep your windows going as if you had activated it? 

 

You lose your privacy, but I'm pretty sure mine was gone a long time ago.

Its not for me, its for my granny so I cant troubleshoot because she lives 3 hours away. I may do insider versions for my PC but thats because I'm going to be able to back my data up. The fractal design core 1100 doesn't like multiple hard drives (Almost broke the mounting holes). The advantage of this is once we get a key its super easy to activate. It's not like she has to go into a full setup. Just settings
