How long did your Windows 10 Reservation take?

I know, I know. There has been a million and one threads lately about Windows 10, but I had a quick question for the forum.

 

I just recently updated my Windows 7 Pro SP1 with all the latest updates and finally got the "Reserve Windows 10" icon. I reserved my copy, and now I play the waiting game.

 

 

I just wanna know how long it took for everybody else to get their copy after reserving it?

I got windows 10 the day it was released :P

Did you reserve it or download the .iso right from the website?

I managed to get a reservation a couple weeks before it was launched.  Idk how xD

i reserved it on my surface pro but just used the upgrade tool on their website right when it was released

have been running windows 10 previews on my desktop for a long time now, so i got build 10240 (the official release) around 7/18 or so

 

you know you dont have to wait just download and run this http://microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

I used the registry edit method.

Actually you know what... Thats how I got the icon. I let the registry edit thing run, and than it closed and all of a sudden I had the reserve icon.

I forced the update on day 1 by using the Windows 10 media creation tool.

I had to use the force download and change to Language and Location to US.

Because the command to force update didn't work for me!!!

Actually you know what... Thats how I got the icon. I let the registry edit thing run, and than it closed and all of a sudden I had the reserve icon.

 

You just need to update everything to get the app.

Didn't want to wait to roll out so I did:

 

 

Ok. You are good. You need to wait for your wave.

However, you can force it to upgrade now.

 

Simply go to the registry, at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/WindowsUpdate/OSUpgrade

Create a new DWORD called: AllowOSUpgrade and set its value to 1.

Now open the Command Prompt as true Admin, and type and hit enter: wuauclt.exe /updatenow

Now open Windows Update, and hit: "check for update" on the side column.

Windows 10 download should appear.

I did have the reservation icon before Windows 10 got released. When I tried upgrading though, my computer crashed while it was preparing. I tried about 4 times, no luck. I had to download the download tool the next day.
