Help my RTX 2060 GPU is reaching 85 degrees celsius when i start up any game and the fans become very loud at 3000 RPM

i upgraded to this  GIGABYTE RTX 2060 6GB (something WINDFORCE) not too long ago from a 1650 Super.
With the 1650 SUPER everything was working fine and it wasnt overheating or anything and the fans werent so loud.

I checked that info with the NVIDIA GeForce experience.

My CPU is I5-10400F.

its actually impossible to play with the volume of the fans and im scared the constant 85 degrees could harm the PC.

2060's are what.. 5-7 years old?.. i would guess it's time to service it and replace cooling paste and pads.. and clean the cooling fins..

That might be an issue, but only if the GPU is clogged with dust, because my 1050ti still work perfectly fine, and I never replaced the thermal paste

that is true.. it all depends on the environment it has been stored in, and how much it has been used..

Windforce is their lower-end model, but I'd be surprised if it was THAT bad. Does it help if you power limit / underclock the card? If it doesn't help, it might be that it needs looking at under the hood as suggested above.

It all depends. Also does help that a 1050ti is super easy to cool where a 2060 needs more. That and the windforce being the budget coolee model that already ran warmer.

This is basically just a needs new thermal paste kinda deal. Pads last forever usually so no need there most likely.

As well as a good duating off if it has a lot of dust

True, but it also has a tiny heatsink, with 1 80mm fan, because it came in a prebuild, so if the cooling got clogged i would definitely notice
