I built my grandparents Rig a few years ago, all he uses it for is web browsing/email and playing a few old ages. The latest most graphic intensive game he plays is Age of Empires 3.

Specs are:

AMD FX 4100 Black Edition

Asus M5A97

Corsair XMS3 1333Mhz 8GB (2 x 4GB)

Sapphire HD 5450 1GB DDR3

Corsair CX430w 80+ Bronze

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm

For what it is and the price I got it all for it's not a bad rig!

The Phoenix | i7 3930K 4.6Ghz | Z79A-GD45 Plus | 2 x GTX 780 SLI | 16GB Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz | Two 240GB Samsung 840s | 1.5TB Western Digital Caviar Green HDD | Silverstone TJ07 | Full Custom Water Cooling Loop

A super slow Windows Vista laptop... he lives much further out than me and has a better internet connection.

This world is cruel.

So many things I could write here... things like this.

Well my grandmother is too old for a computer, but the one I built for my father who is as equally computer illiterate has some decent old hardware.

Thermaltake shark case

CX 430 psu

pretty decent P4 with HT and I think it's clocked at 3.2. I've gotten it up to 3.8 when I was tinkering with it

Abit Fatal1ty 925XE I think?

4gb Corsair RAM

80gb Velociraptor

9800+ GTX

Bit outdated but it's plenty powerful for craigslist and hotmail.

Error: 410

One of my Grandpa's had an old IBM "clone" that looked like it was from the 80s and a laser printer to keep track of his business records at the auto body shop he owned.  It was OLD and beige.  *speaking of the computer but that description could also apply to grandpa.

DOn't recall any of my Grandparents owning any computers at their homes.  ALthough they did have game consoles for when the kids visited.
