Yeah, it's OK. Used it for a while now and has done more than this stupid Blue Protect thing I have on my lenses, which is designed to prevent eye fatigue. I know that when I go to the opticians before my CBT, I may ask for Transitions lenses instead (bonus if they have a blue protect coating as well).

Well... I'm now in a difficult situation. I have something like 4 bikes to choose from, with similar insurance but varying prices to buy new from dealers AND I can't test-ride since you need to have a full license and i don't even have my CBT yet (if I did it now I would be limited to a 50cc moped, but next year, all 125cc of power). Can't wait until November :D

Tbf, whatever you go for you'll get used to, is there no private sales of those around you that could let you test ride them?

I'm also thinking about the future (e.g. if I get a sports bike, then I'll have to sell it when I get my A2 but if I get the dual-purpose then more than likely I won't etc.) and the fact that I don't have a license, let alone CBT makes it difficult currently and by the looks of it, most of the bikes are older models or in really bad shape... like rust everywhere... (new bike: no worries, especially since Honda and Kawasaki are fairly inexpensive compared to Yamaha).

You should never really buy new, do they have like a certified used part at any of the dealers?

No idea, but as they say on a certain forum, if you can buy new for under £4000, then do it (so Yamaha is a bit of a push) and actually, as I found out, buying used does almost nothing to my insurance, since I am new and in the "high risk" age bracket.

Used wont affect insurance, but itll affect the cost of the thing you're buying.

Most of the ads are a fair distance away and tend to have damage, etc. which will cost a fair bit to fix, whereas new means that the dealership fix issues and hey, warranties are nice in case stuff goes wrong and as I said, finance is as well... (although it would be through a proxy).

Ooh... my local local dealer doesn't have any decent used bikes (tbh, most of them are new). A specialist Yamaha/Suzuki dealer only has high-CC bikes and the dealers I visited today have the bikes with very little off the original RRP, maybe £100 max. :/ the "big four" hold their value.
