I'm still running my Radeon 6870. Specifically for OpenCL in Vegas Pro. I have permission to friendly-fire. :-)

Been able to get duel gpu systems for under $1200 for a long time now.

Dual-GPU, as in single cards line the 295x2, 7990, etc. Those cards will tip your budget quite a bit.

I just priced it out for my own build, a unlocked i5, 16 gig ram build with a 295x2 comes out just under 1100 before os or storage

Would love to pick this up. For 500$ its a steal
