[Build Log] Corsair 750D, Water Cooled, Project "Golden Night" [IN PROGRESS]

Hey Awesome people

 

I have now started building my "Golden Night" machine.. 

It's gonna be a Water cooled Corsair 750D with colour theme "black/gold"

This is my first ever watercooled build, so i'm very excited to get started with it

 

 

Here's a list of what i have so far for the build:

Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 750D 

CPU: Intel Core I7 4770K 3.5GHZ 8MB Haswell 

GPU: 2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 680 2048MB GDDR5 

PSU: Corsair RM Series RM850 850W 

Ram: Avexir Core Series GOLD - DDR3-1600, CL9 - 16 GB Kit

MOBO: ASUS Z87-PRO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 

OS SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB 

Backup SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 1000GB

GPU Backplate: 2 x EK-FC680 GTX Backplate CSQ -  I Am thinking of getting Custom backplates in black, with Nvidia Claw in gold, and gold writing "GTX 680" (work in progress)

Reservoir Top: EK-RES X3 - Multiport TOP 

Pump: EK-D5 Vario X-TOP incl. Pump

you get 2x 680's instead of 2x 780's in place of a 1TB ssd when you can get a 1TB HDD for 10% of the price....

yep i know, was thinking bout getting 780ti instead and leave out the ssd 1tb, 

but allready had a 680, so only had to get 1 more and allready had the ssd also  

 

But thx so far guys, still waiting for the fan controller to arrive,

then i'll start building it

I had 1 leak from reservoir to the pump, tried 3 times to fix it, but ended up using the old res top with single hole, as the buttom instead, wich fixed the leak ..

i made 2 acryllic plates, covered 1 side of it with carbon foil and put one in the buttom of the case, as a mirror wic reflects all the gold <3<3,

and the other plate i put in the back to cover up the SSD's

i will try just dont have a decent camera, but will do once i borrow one from a friend

They are indeed !!

only thing i dont like about them is that 90 degree and 45 degree fittings dont allways have the same gold colour.. 

so some of the 90 degree fittings have a darker gold colour than the rest.. 

but oh well, too late to fix that now

just messed a little with the OC, 

currently at 4,4GHz with 1,25v with max temp of 76 degrees on 100% load..

idle temp at around 32 degrees.. 

 

Is that good/safe temps ??

thx very much bro !!  yea i think its a nice blend, wag gonna do custom backplates for gpu's and custom sli bridge cover with all the logos from corsair, intel and so on, but i think it would have been too much.. 

 

allright, so 80 under 100% load is a goal then.. 

what should normal idle temps be at, and temps while gaming ? 

off cause depending on ambient room temperature ?

if your ambient temp is about 20-22 everything under 35°C is very good, ive never really seen idle temps under 30°C, even with the most amazing WC loop (altho those usually have GPU's with alot more heat output)
