weird because drives only problem was a dependency that you installed try rebooting your system i might work

in virtualbox? yes you have to passthrough the usb device

and are you sure if I install ubuntu as a host machine will it work??

you have to pass your printer trough virtual machine

fallow his guide it is for usb storage but it will work for printer

the driver was wrong....so it didn't worked....
