1650 Bottleneck?

Oliver Michael

Would pairing a 1650 with an i5-4440 cause any bottlenecking? I want to throw a slightly better gpu in my old rig but I don't want to waste my money on lost performance.

I would put a 1050 or maybe a 1050 TI in there. I had a 1060 in my i5-4460 and my GPU was barely used.

I would get a 1050 instead like the other guy said and if that's not enough try to instead save money to build a new PC.

Apparently the 1050 isn't that much better than your current so I'd save money. Once Nvidia and AMD are done releasing their shit prices should drop significantly on budget products.

it will be by a long shot. but the question is is your cpu going to be able to keep up. I think it should be fine for most games. cant say for certain however
