Is 2060 a good option rn

mohsenation

My 1660ti broke a couple of weeks ago. Returned it to the store cause of warranty for credit and realized that a 2060 is sitting on the shelf for 20$ more than the credit I received "$270". My question is, is it worth paying for it or should I stick with a 1660ti?

Only if he can add extra few hundreds. If not, 2060 for just 20 bucks more is a great deal.

For 20 bucks hell yeah, get you the newer card.

But then again over here that would equivelate to about 1 persons Mcdonalds meal. :D

Well definitely don't get another 1660 Ti.  Either get a 1660 Super (roughly the same performance but for less money), upgrade to the 2060 (also a good deal), or just go a few months without a graphics card until the new generation comes out.

It is not an ideal time to get one, because the imminent launch of the next generation is more than likely to either get you a better card for the same money, or the same card for less money in a few weeks. That being said, when the choice is between losing out on a bit of performance, and sitting around without a working computer for weeks, I'd just go ahead and take it.

And yeah, I'd say that 1660Ti → 2060 for $20 is very much worth it

Try months.  The 3060 hasn't even been announced yet.  We have no idea when the lower tier models will be announced.
