I'm looking to spend less than $2,000 on upgrades in the U.S.A. for gaming. What would you change?

We don't know what coolers are good yet for GPUs, so I'd wait for reviews before deciding which one to get. Maybe get a cheaper SSD, those Samsungs are overkill. Looks good other than that.

I dont see why you need more than 8 cores for gaming, it's single thread performance that matters at this point

 

MSI X570 boards below the Unify and Ace are terrible, B550 on the other hand are competitive

 

I dont know what that Corsair kit is doing there, but it's at an awful price for what it carries (4000MHz that's not Samsung B-die). The cheap kit I have up there is likely made of the same stuff that's rated a bit worse, but much cheaper. alternative is the expensive kit that should be Samsung B-die

 

PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs from the big names are just too expensive for what they offer. If you dont want the lesser known brands, just hop onto PCIe 4.0 x4 like the MP600

@Jurrunio 3900x is fine if there's a big budget given it's only 140 more. If the poster needs to do editing, streaming, etc. any time in the future, the 3900x is better for sure. Better IMO to just spend a bit more on it

there's cross-CCD latency involved with R9, and the fact that his signature already shows a 3700x.

What about an MSI x570 Unify makes it better than other models?

Already own it (Paid 127$). Is it worth it to upgrade my ram for this new build? Looking to use ultra-settings for 1440P, at 144fps. If possible.

For $127 it's an excellent deal, no need to change
