  1. Yesterday I upgraded to a an Asus Tuf Gaming x570-Plus. After installation, I then installed the m.2 SSDs (Samsung 970 Evo 500GB &1TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive). The BIOS shows both of the 500GB &1TB. But I can't seem to access them in Windows Ten. I went to; Control Panel-->Administrative Tools--> Storage-->Disk Management... And see both the m.2 ssd listed as "Unallocated". What do I do?
  2. Ok, I downloaded Armoury Crate, and don't see the option for fan speed. There are options in YouTube vids that aren't on my app...
  3. I just installed my X570 Tuf, and want to control my fan's speed. I've got; - GPU fan 1080 ti by MSI; I use MSI afterburner for this one. - CPU fan; Noctua - 2 Noctua fans (top and back) - Corsair (Stock front) Do I have any options other than using the BIOS?
  4. I've been looking for a G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL14 Memory. but PCPartPicker doesn't list any vendors......Or a brand with the same specs, if they exist. But I'm concerned about price. Anyone know where they are being sold for non-ripoff prices?
  5. To be specific. I can put my Ryzen 7 3700X into the 570X. Load up my windows 10 and all. Then do the bios update, then pop in the Ryzen 9 5900X?
  6. Ok, wait. Can I update the bios with my current Ryzen 7 3700X? Or do I need a full pc with an older CPU?
  7. Wait, are you saying there's no way I can download the proper bios onto a thumb drive, then update the MB with the thumb drive? And I have a backup laptop, it's from 2009, but it works. Are you saying I can't use that either?
  8. Sounds good. Will add What's the benefit of the other motherboard? And I'll look for deals with the SSD's
  9. Budget; 2200$ with some wiggle room. Use; I often play games on mute while listening to YouTube podcasts, and have 3-4 spreadsheets open in the background for work use. Location; USA. PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7 GHz 12-Core Processor Motherboard Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard $164.85 @ Amazon Memory G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB)
  10. But the whole point of this discussion is that test shows a 5900X is needed to get the 4 single channel sticks to work. I'm already planning on getting the 5900x and 3080.... I'm still not convinced of this 4 sticks of ram thing, but I think the discussion is needed.
  11. If I understand this correctly, the only change I'd need to make is from a Ryzen 9 3900X to a Ryzen 9 5900X. And of course, a potential BIOS update. I'll hold off from making any purchases until I can really wrap my head around it.
  12. Recently, I've been seeing videos saying '4 sticks of single-channel ram is 10% better than 2 sticks of dual channel ram.' Is this true or false? I'm almost ready to starting ordering parts for my new build; X570 MB, 3080 GPU, Ryzen 9 3900X CPU. Thinking of getting the G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory. But now I'm second guessing. What are your thoughts on the 4-stick idea and/or the ram chosen?
  13. The one I got said "Data syncing". So........... Honestly, I still don't get it. Will this one work? Or is there one you recommend?
