  1. Yes, the Razor or Corsair. The Razor usb ports look amazing. For now, I'll have to make do with stickers.
  2. Here's the first attempt with DOT-C2 tape. It works fairly well however rough it looks. Edit; for better photo. And they don't do it justice. The color and reflectiveness is near spot on. There's more reflective tape like this, but couldn't find in any the colors I want.
  3. I see USB replacements for pc cases, but I don't see any with a built in light. Do they exist? here's an example in car adapter form.
  4. I get it, just my fantasies about retailers caring more is too hopeful.
  5. I called Best Buy customer service last week and asked if they ever put 3080's on the shelf or if they are all bought online. She said the stores inventory is linked to the website, so if it's bought online, then it is pulled off the shelf. Which means it never gets to shelf. My question, is there any retailer who puts 3080's on their shelf and keeps the online side separate?
  6. My pc case (Meshify C) is all black and I keep hitting the off button while trying to plug in a usb in the dark. Thinking some higher quality foil stickers found on license plates or the ones that come with GPUs or CPUs would do the trick. Get reflective red/green to pop a little while my lights are off. Anyone know where to get some? And yes, I have tape and regular stickers, but I want something that looks nice.
  7. My answer might not be what you are looking for. It kills me when people get prebuilds only upgradable with that company's parts, or have an odd tower that requires different motherboards etc... Then they buy a new prebuild 3 years later when all they have to do is replace one or two components for half the price. IMHO a good prebuilt pc should be easily upgradable with what pc builders would consider standard parts. Probably not the answer you wanted, but the shortage will end. Whatever you get, you'll hate starting from scratch again as it ultimately cost more.
  8. Well the results are......... Not noticeable right now. Based on playing Need For Speed Heat and Frost Punk, there's maybe 5pfs boost if that. If @jaslion is correct, I won't see a real benefit until I can get a 3080.
  9. I planned to buy an R9 5900x, but had no luck in my search over several months. The R7 5800x is 1% slower and 18% cheaper, so I bought one. Anyone own a R7 3700x? It's what I'm currently using and wondering what difference I'll see. Supposedly the 5800x is 14% faster. I'll report later what benefits, if any I'll see. And yes, this is a none post because I wanted to share and lockdowns have got me bored at home. Edit; This is for gaming.
  10. Today I saw BestBuy had 3080's in stock. I clicked "Add To Cart" and got an "Awaiting status" message. That lasted for over an hour, then I created a second tab and checked the availability which said "Sold out". I gave up. Anyone know about this awaiting status? Should I have just quietly read a book and waited another hour?
  11. This, I just ordered 2 Noctua 140mm fans. Also, I think there's a design issue. If I were to improve the design of this case I would add enough adjustment room so a 120mm fan could sit flush at the bottom the way the 140mm fan sits in your photo.
  12. By the way, nice setup. Base so loud it cracked the floor!
  13. I had the thought. My god that would look so ugly.
  14. The Fractal Meshify C tower won't let the be fan any lower. It's one of the reasons I want a 140mm fan, because there's a mount option lower down. I can't even drop the fan all the way down and use only the top screws because the height of the fan is taller than the top of the lower mount. 140mm fans solve this issue. Side note, I do like this case, it's clearly better than my Corsair 200R, but still some design issues.
