gaming CS GO major changes since 2016?

What has changed in the game since 2016? That is the last time I played cs go...could anyone give me e short tldr; of any major changes made to the game, please? I googled it but there are thousands of patchnotes and no summary for that long of a period. Thanks in advance!

Panorama UI and character skins and trusted launch (you will get bad trust when you launch csgo untrusted) that is the changes I have in mind rn that is major

I mean, there you have it. Hundreds of updates and balance changes, there is no TLDR for such a history. You missed things like the R8's time as the AWP replacement, the initial bugs that ruined their battle royale mode, all things that are long gone.

 

Best to just play the game now and compare it to what you used to remember. You'll only have to learn the current incarnation of the game to play it anyway.

Crap forgot the r8 too much to remember from such a long period you just gotta experience it

TL;DR is still not gonna be short here, but I'll try.

• Many engine updates, including a backported UI and backported rendering features from Source 2
• New game modes added, most notably Danger Zone
• Many, many, many, many weapon and map balance changes
• The game went free-to-play in December 2018
• A more cohesive anti-cheat solution was implemented over time, largely successfully attempting to identify cheaters by using AI and user review
