speaker and mic using single audio jack

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Hi,

I have MSI tomahawk b350 paired with ryzen 1600 in Deepcool matrexx 55 case.

I am unable to use the speaker and mic of my headphone using a single jack. I am able to do this on my laptop.

They both work individually but not together i.e. I get audio out from speaker jack and mic with mic jack.

you need a unit that separate the 4 part into dual 2 part

amazon isn't the only place and that one is way more than it should be. 3-5$ is what I'd expect but hell I can make one myself or I'll just convert the headphones to the dual jack and leave it

Making one yourself is also possible. I may have the components as well. or salvage old products for it.

3-5 is still expensive at my place it's like 1$ worth i may go to $2 for best quality.

2 dual poll jacks with some cable on it, an old phone and a bit of wire with some solder and tape should combine into one.

It's like $7 here, that's how much I would expect to pay. It's really not that expensive..

$7 for an adapter like that is a little overpriced but unless you want to have one imported from China it's prettymuch THE option you have and it really isn't that much money

cost is context based. in my context it's overpriced. Any ways thanks for answering, I am connected with deep cool and they didn't say it should not work. So i am seeing that option too.
