Notifications aren't cancelling

Browser, version and OS: Firefox 77 on Windows 10 1909

Steps to reproduce

Recieve a notification which says "user commented on thread"

Click on the link to thread which appears at the bottom of the page when you recieve this notification

What happened?

The notification isn't marked as read - the red circle still appears at the top of the screen

What did you expect to happen

The notification would be marked as read, since I already clicked on it, albeit at the bottom of the screen rather than the top

Link to a page where it happened, if applicable: Any forum thread page

Any other relevant details:

I have AdGuard enabled.

Also this only happens sometimes. It's more common if you're already on the thread which the notification links to, but it can happen at other times.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

AFAIK this is intended. The two actions aren't actually connected. Odd design decision, but who said IPB were smart anyway.

Yeah, unfortunately this isn't a bug, it's an unimplemented feature. However, I've done some digging today and it looks like it might be possible for be to implement, so this should be improved in the next forum update (or maybe before).
