144hz monitor

Earnist_

I’ve heard that setting max FPS to 143 is the best option for some reason but not sure why , should I do this for my 144hz monitor

Afaik people do this to stop stutters

Does it help? I'm not sure

But don't worry about it,

I can't see how this would help. Generally it is better to get as many fps as possible so the frame that gets displayed on your monitor when it refreshes is more "up to date". Granted the higher your fps and the higher your monitors refresh rate, the harder it is to notice this.

I heard it’s better for free sync or something along those lines

I generally set it to either my monitors refresh to its max or if it's something lightweight to something that'll keep my GPU cooler (mostly because it's quieter)

Dirty Windows Peasants :P ?
