Opinions on Doom Eternal?

I have 50$ to splurge on the steam summer sale and I have been interested in Doom Eternal for a while. I am not sure however if it wouldn't be a good fit for me. If someone who owns Doom Eternal could give me an opinion or a short review, a million thanks. If anyone wants to know what games I play for a little background I play lots of Minecraft, CSGO and a bit of Borderlands 2. And yes I have played the recent Doom. like that Doom. 2016 Doom.

I loved Doom Eternal. It's a very fast, messy, bloody arena.

I liked it, but then I'm not you... Maybe better watch reviews and actual gameplay to see if it's to your taste?

I'd wait for the summer sale because it will be on that. It's nowhere near as good as Doom 2016 I have it and only played about 2 hours in 6 months

Doom eternal is very difficult.

You need to master that combat loop. I think it's better than 2016.

Music is still okay. Not AS good as 2016, but still good game imo.

 

It's harder than Dark Souls imo.

 

Definitely worth it imo. I'm stuck on one part that's very tough, but it's satisfying when you win.

I just bought it in the sale, never finished the first one. Forgot how to do the punch kills and never really bothered to remind myself.

 

But I grabbed a few bargains and figured I might as well grab that one too.

 

Do like a good Steam Summer sale.

I love Doom Eternal, but those portions of the game where I had to master that jump and combo jumps got quite old. Lotsa demon and monster mayhem, and lotsa fun blasting them, but those jumping sequences sure as hell got me frustrated at times. Recently got into Serious Sam BFE, a game I'd not completed since getting it at launch, and I must say, it was a whole lotta fun! No crazy combo jumping sequence to boot!!!
