Intel Core i5-10400, 3000 MHz RAM

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have seen several people running a 3000 MHz RAM with an Intel Core i5-10400. I have also seen that this specific processor supports up to 2933 MHz RAM. So my question is: Will the 3000 MHZ RAM work with this CPU out of the box? Will it even work or it just locks at  2933 MHz?

It doesn't support up to 2933

Who told you that ?

That's the base frequency

It will work with 3000

My favorite case is the mechify c and it is the best case and if you say otherwise you're lying

@TofuHaroto so I can see your post

take a look at this video, basically getting a board thats not z490 doesn't make sense, and if u do get a z490 then the 10600k is a great gaming chip with the right memory. For budget builds the 3600 is better, the 10400 is a pointless product
