I need some help with my CPU

Roughly 2 years ago I built my pc and I used a msi Z370 PC PRO and an intel i3 8100. Now i want to upgrade to a i5 9600K but im not sure if it is supported. I think it is and my board would just need a bios update but im not 100%. Could anyone help with this?

Yes, it's compatible, as you can see here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z370-PC-PRO#support-cpu

Just update the BIOS and drop in the new CPU.
