Is there a site that links people looking to make passive/slightly passive income?

I'm looking to link up with someone in a small partnership, however there doesn't really seem to be any obvious sites to facilitate this.

I know I could post ads on Kijiji or Craigslist, however that route opens up to a lot more sketchy people.

A lot of the sites I have found are more for either people looking to invest in others, people who have ideas of their own and are looking for investment, or people who are looking for a significant amount of money; my opportunity would be one that's not a huge earner (a few hundred to start, possibly building up to $1,000/mo after a year or two) but it'd be quite passive.

I'd be looking for someone in the US.

 

Are there any sites that link people like this?

The closest I've found is Fivrr, which would require propositioning people that are offering services similar in nature.

I don't know of any organized service for finding funding or partnerships. Honestly though your best bet is friends and family. It's hard to convince someone to invest in you; it's even harder when that someone is a complete stranger.

 

You could look at getting a small business loan if you are confident you can generate the income to pay it back.

Oh, no. No money is needed on their end. Simply signing up for a business account and a website.

Then I'd be paying them. I don't need loans.

So you’re looking to invest? Why not just grab some dividend stocks?

 

Or look for local businesses you like and see if they could use some investments to expand/upgrade, etc.

Nope, there are auctions I want to bid on, but only people with US business licenses can.

I know there are companies that do this for things like Yahoo! Auctions so people in NA can order from Japan. There's probably stuff like that for the US.

I don't think that'd quite do what I want; I need to bid on specific auctions from a specific site.

This sounds slightly sketchy lol. Maybe ask the website's support or see if there's a subreddit or something with active users who you can ask your favour.

It's a B-stock site, and it'd be ongoing. So, it's not really a one time thing.

So you want someone with a business license to purchase these auctions on your behalf and then what? Ship the items to you?

 

Sounds like what you want to do is probably in a legal gray area. If the seller requires a business license to bid they are obviously trying to limit who they do business with.

 

You could do some research on auction buyer agents. Typically buyer agents are for live auctions but you might be able to hire one for your purpose. You can also look into shipping forwarding services; some of these companies will buy the products on you behalf.

Not really, the items can't be sold outside of the US due to contracts. However, the items would be shipped to my address in the US, thus the person is absolved of any requirements, and since I'm not party to that contract, I'm not held to the same requirement (even though most of the items are sent back to the US). There are already other companies that do this, but from a wholesale aspect.

 

I've found brokers for CoPart, which I've looked into in the past, but they're strictly automotive.

 

I use freight forwarding services, but they don't deal with this either.

A much safer and easier solution to what you're looking for is probably P2P lending through something like Prosper or Lending Club.

im confused. if you have a US address why not just make an LLC using said address so you dont need anyone else to help?

i lost my job due the the outbreak, now im thinking about working as a cashier, i have no experience on this and im not good at math. kinda worring.

i do have some income, but thats only good for daily expense. i really wanna buy a bike, and upgrade my rig to 3rd gen ryzen .

If you're not good with math you likely won't get hired as a cashier. They test you on quick math during the interview process.
