Compatibility issues?

Maddix

Hi everyone,

So I've decided that for my birthday I am going to upgrade my cheap ass prebuilt from amazon. I've picked out parts I'd like to get and PC part picker says that there are no compatibility issues but I thought I'd check with actual people first.

My motherboard (That I'm sticking with) is an Intel DH61CR (https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/51857/intel-desktop-board-dh61cr.html)

The CPU I want to upgrade to is an Intel I7 2600 (Board doesn't support OC)

The GPU I want to upgrade to is a MSI RX580 Armour (8GB)(https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/msi-radeon-rx-580-8-gb-armor-oc-graphics-card-10179465-pdt.html)

My power supply is 500W

Will these parts work together with no issues?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me

-Maddix

Write your system specs so that we can see if you are doing an upgrade thats pointless. GPU will obviously not be non compatible so you're asking if i7 2600 is compatible with that mobo which you can look up for yourself.

I'd get just the GPU since CPU doesn't matter much. Unless you have a very old one you won't bottleneck so no point in upgrading that for games.

I didnt know if the card needed new PCI-e technology or not and I didn't know if the CPU and GPU could have compatibility issues. I'm sort of new to troubleshooting these things.
