10980xe really but then the questions is will the extra cores of the 10980xe help for this streaming pc or not really.

if you are looking at the 10980xe, id probably look at the 3950x.

its got cheaper motherboards, while also being easier to cool. meaning less heat being kicked out into the room.

But gaming performance wise the 10980xe will be doing better as you can get high speeds ?

not really. gaming wise they are usually pretty similar or the 3950x is better. 10980xe is really a good chip for doing certain benchmarks, but outside of that, other options are better.

Either of them mentioned. I mean I'm using a i7 7700K damn near choking it when I start my stream after a minute it goes away though before I actually start a game.

More cores=more stable and no dropped frames(with supporting network/ISP) either would be good. However like mentioned ryzen runs a lot cooler due to not being a toothpaste job like intel.

First watercooled System

he would have 2 360 thick radiators so heat aint gonna be a issue.

Well I have one. Haha. Since money is no object (personally) I'd go with the intel but again either will be a great experience.

with nvenc, the 9900k. without it, maybe the 3900x/10900k/3950x. tho even the 9900k as headroom for CPU encoding.

Truth.  I stream 1080p60 on medium flawlessly with a 5.0Ghz 9900k in OBS, medium encoding.  It does fantastic.  If he wants to keep it crazy simple the NVENC is about the easiest thing to use (although not as snazzy) and he will have the full power of the CPU to focus on highest FPS.

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar

The only issue is the headroom might be a touch limiting if the allcore load increases in games.

Theoretically a binned 9900KS is probably the fastest thing out there, but you are getting into the land of diminishing returns there.  You are talking paying double (if not more) for almost no increase in FPS.  I would get a stock 9900KS

just dont bother. if you are gonna spend an increased sum of money on a 9900k, then you might aswell get the 3950x.
