advice about adding an extra dirve to a micro-ATX board

yoloninja

I've got an extra hard drive recently, and would like to plug it in the my main workstation, However, my poor little micro-ATX Board has run out of e-sata plugs, and I'd like some advice going forwards. I have enough power sata cables, its just sata cables for data.

You can go for a SATA expansion card, which connects via PCIE and usually needs SATA power/MOLEX in.

Usually I recommend connecting 'secondary' drives to it. Optical drives, data HDD's, definitely not SSD's for example.

You probably have a board with only 4 SATA ports, right?
