Low ppd on 1070 ti

Hey, hopefully this is the right place to post.

I started folding on my computer tonight and I can't figure out why my estimated points per day is so low on my GTX 1070 ti. It says online I should be expecting over 700k but in my client it's saying 150k. Has something changed or is there something I need to do to get that number? Picture of my client attached. Thanks.

What happens when you change the slider to Full, instead of Medium?
I know "Light" for GPU's means "doing nothing at all", so perhaps the drop off from Full to Medium is quite high too?

Furthermore, do you have a couple CPU threads open for it to use?

But of course PPD has some variance between one WU and another, but from my experience it is not that drastic.

I didn't notice any real difference sliding it to full, my gpu usage is 92%ish on medium and it went to 95% on full, maybe 3k points difference. I had the CPU (r7 2700x) running when I first set f@h up but i have the stock cooler on and it was kind of loud so I turned it off. I think my ppd was like 150k with the CPU running.

This is with the cpu running (sitting ~90% usage on 16T)

For me it's like 50K difference in PPD between FULL and MEDIUM (around 5% difference), so that shouldn't be it.

Perhaps just wait out this WU and see if this behavior continues.

It actually got even worse with the next WU, maybe there's something wrong and I should just stop? Not gonna leave my machine doing this if it's getting 1/7th of the work done that it should be doing.

Make sure you entered the passkey. It has bonus.

And if you run 7/24 you get quick return bonus too. So after you enter psskey and complete your first day points get back to normal.

As @mescalin mentioned, did you get the passkey ?

Is there anything else running on your GPU at the same time as F@H?

According to the sample size of 57 in this database, you should see close to even 900K PPD on a 1070 Ti (875K):

Thanks, the passkey was the issue. Kind of odd that they don't make that more obvious that you need one?

EDIT: I'm not at 900k, I'm at ~715k but we'll see with next WU and I also haven't OC'ed my gpu which I probably won't because it's a 1070 ti mini.

Also there is a fast return bonus. if it’s your first day, your ppd can increase. As I remember 10wu per day was the minimum limit for fast return bonus.

don't expect to get 900K all the time every time. the PPD you get can fluctuate rather wildly, and is very much dependant on the work units you get.

PPD on the two 1070's i run 24/7 can fluctuate from 1.6M to 900K depending on the work they get.

As an example, Project ITNOS (my folding rig) runs with a 1070ti mini (your card) and a 1070ti FTW2 and averages 1.5m PPD, about 750K each card. However, both cards are power limited and overclokced about 100mhz, and average anywhere from 1875-1925mhz based on the load.
