How do people grow organically in stream platforms until making a living out of it?

Windows95

Im familiar with how to grow in youtube... make videos with good CTR and watchtime basically, beyond that is luck that the algorithm suggests your stuff and you start gaining subs.

How do you grow in twitch, facebook gaming, mixer and all that?

Put out a product that people want to see.

But i would not count on streaming for a living. Its very rare and few last. Counting on making it streaming is like counting on winning the lotto.

Make sure you have skills outside of streaming that you can rely on.

It's not the game they're playing, it's their personalities that people see and want to be involved with. I can't speak for every streamer, some streamers have fantastic skill i.e. Esports players, however, people like Tyler1. It's just his personality, same with Fitz, Poki etc, majority of streamers have magnetic personalities and provide something you can't find elsewhere to the same degree. Although, I'd say the exception is Ninja, I never understood how he became famous...

That played games people were interested in watching and they have personalities that people are interested in watching.

Like i said its rare to get to that point. But theres no magic about how its done. Your gonna have to grind nonstop as well.

The main difference between growing in YouTube vs Twitch is that YouTube content can be informational or entertaining and Twitch HAS to be entertainment focused. If someone doesn't have a very strong outgoing/confident personality, they're almost assuredly going to fail.

There are certainly exceptions for pro esports players, but that's probably not in the cards for your situation.

It's a little more complex than "play game get fame".

The people you see excel are people that sell themselves to their audience, they provide something that their communities can relate to, There's a large number of ways that's done. Educational, Comical, Entertaining, Relatable, Sex Appeal (even with Twitch's standards, it still happens in subverted ways), common interests/public figures (Alex Zedra in relations to the firearms community, Pornstars with their following, ETC), among many others. Sometimes it's because they were the first to do it, sometimes it's because they did it better than someone else.

They bring people back with their *insert interest point here*, and as they continue to grow, they see growth (takes money to make money type of deal)

I was going to say this.  The people I tend to watch tend to have interesting personalities, simple as that.  It can be anything from the sound of their voice, the way the comment, the jokes they make, how they interact with chat or even their personal opinions.  It is a lot like show business. In 90% of the cases, you either have the talent for it or you don't.

Also, if you want to give it a go, to increase your chances of success, don't skimp on the production quality.  To put it simply, make sure you have quality tech.  Remember your trying to make streaming your business so treat it like such and invest the necessary money into it to do it right because your in show business now and EVERYTHING is going to be about presentation.

One thing to note, if you decide to go this route just remember that your turning the things you find fun and relaxing into a job and jobs are usually anything but fun and relaxing.  You might even find yourself having to play a game your bored of for the simple reason of it being popular on your channel and thus profitable because its now your job.  You may even have to play a game you have no desire to play because it is your job.  You might not be able to play a game you want to play, because it is your job.  You might have to play on a specific schedule, because it is your job.  So ask yourself if you really want to make playing games a job.

You need to be someone who is interesting to watch. Not just be good at games.

You need to be able to stand out from the crowd. Anyone can play games, but few people can play games and be entertaining at the same time.

There are four ways to do it:

- Have a really cool and interesting personality that people want to watch, and then stream regularly and a lot,

- Be super good at the game you're playing (eg., pro gamers, guys like Grubby, FighterPL, etc.), to the point where you can do crazy stuff nobody else can,

- Both of the above,

- Be a good-looking woman, and then stream regularly and a engage with your audience a lot.

Also, if you're a top-level player who wins tournaments in a famous competitive game, you'll have an in-built streaming audience even if you don't have a fun personality. However, your stream will live and die based on the game you play.

I may have missed this if someone said it already but along with what previous people said make sure you have an intended audience from there make content that they would want to watch, and just keep at it. It will start out slow in the beginning spread the word to friends and if you do a good job they will recommend to there friends. look at LTT and how it started.

gamergurrrls: you know, it's obvious, they just appear and there's some dude in the backgroud playing the game, it doesn't matters.

dudes: they pay to get bot accounts and make ads, then they just earn a fuckton of money.

how does this work?

bot accounts have been busted before expossing streamers, not sure if worth it

where do you put ads to get people on your twitch? is there an in built system in yt where you can put ads?
