Rtx 2060 or 980 sli?

Okay so my cousin is getting rid of some 980's. He said I could have them should I replace them from my 2060 or just keep the 2060?

PC SPECS:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x

GPU: RTX 2060 XC Ultra

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengance LPX DDR4 2400

MotherBoard: Gigabyte X470 Ultra Gaming

PSU; EVGA SuperNova 850W G2

COOLER: Noctua nh-u14s

SLI is dead so keep your 2060, even if it was not dead 2 980 wouldn't match the 2060.

2060 all the way. 2060s if possible

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

PSU             : Thermaltake Lite power 550W (Gonna change soon as i dont trust this)

CASE FANS       : Mix of ID cooling fans, Corsair fans and Rakk Ounos (planned change to ID Cooling)

and a whole lot of LED everywhere(behind the monitor, behind the desk, behind the shelf of the PC mount and inside the case)

I dont think 980Ti SLI can beat a single 2060 in actual games (aside from some really special cases) so 980 SLI is clearly weaker. Also new games basically dont work with SLI properly and it's more of a benchmark toy now

From what I know it's that the cost of SLI (budget, parts and power-wise) outweighs the added performance it provides to a select number of video games. It doesn't make rendering and editing smoother, either.

 

But hey if you like 120fps+ Minecraft with RTX on then you do you.

if you do decide to go SLI tho then go for a dual $499 2070 Super setup and you beat a 2080 Ti in price and most game performance marks.

have the 2080 already so i'm not gonna get 2x 2070s for sli.

especially since i bought a micro atx motherboard on accident so i only have one PCI-E 16x slot
