anyways I was screwing around and decided to try making another list and I came out with this.

For my budget of around 420 and considering that its all in Canadian I think its good, Its not perfect but that makes it fun when it comes time to upgrade.

Definitely down the road il be upgrading to a new board and 16gb of ram but for now this suits me.

Im using this computer for light gaming and some coding and school work.

I can make a little bit more money if I help out a little.

That board is moar than fine. What you 100% want to do is NOT get that case with integrated psu that is like a HUGE RED FLAG. That psu is bad and will cause trouble either real soon or down the line. Not worth risking a system over it. Also get at least a 250gb ssd 120 fills up super quick especially if it's the only storage device.

The only issue with buying used, Im near nothing so its already a 20min drive just uptown and everyone around me dont really own top of the line systems. I would have to go to ottawa, And ive already found some parts from there, That GPU for 60 bucks.

The PSU is on its own, Deepcool I agree is not to good of a trusted PSU brand but most decent PSU's are going to run me alot more up. the PSU does have a 80+ bronze certification.

So Ive swapped the PSU to a corsair VS 450W but Still feel this is under powered since my builds drawing almost 400 watts.

Do you have the GPU already? Because this looks like it would be better as an APU build, but need to know that detail first.

That's my first run at it. You want the "Team L5 Lite 3D" (that very specific model) for a cheap boot SSD. It's the cheapest of the DRAM drives and it really matters. There might be better options, especially on something like a 2400G available.

Ok, So I have two questions then, Is it really better to go with a 2400g? and I can still use that Team L5 lite for storage of files correct or do I have to rip out a Hard drive from an older system that I own? (I might just do that anyways but)

The Lite 3D is just a normal Sata SSD drive. You want to put your OS on there (i.e. what we call the Boot Drive). That's what really matters. The OS slams the drive with a lot of little reads, which the DRAM Cache handles really well. For cheap builds, they're worth a lot of both value and non-DRAM boot drives tend to fail pretty early. (So less headaches.)

 

The 2400G is better than the 3200G, it's just a matter of finding a good deal on one.

Case is fine, and you can get something cheaper, but it's a matter of what you want to get.

 

The system is setup such that you can simply add a GPU or new APU at some point in the future. You'll probably want to add any old HDDs you have around for extra storage.

Honestly just go buy a used optiplex 9010 with like a 3770 for 200 bucks. Buy the PSU and SSD in @Taf the Ghost's build. And spend your remaing 120-130ish on a used R9390 OR 1050ti

General upgrade path would be some sort of GPU, new or used, around the Nvidia 1060/AMD 570 range. After that, it'd be a CPU upgrade in maybe a year or so when either the 3500 or 3600X are much cheaper.

The r9 380 is significantly more powerful than Vega 11..
