Gaming monitor with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) 85w Power Delivery?

Hello everyone,

This is my first post in a forum in quite a while. I'm looking to buy a monitor which I would like to use both for gaming and productivity (programming). Yeah, I know it is kind of mutually exclusive but I'm looking for the perfect monitor for my use case.

Basically I'm looking for a monitor with the following specs:

* 1440p or 4k resolution (1080p is too low nowadays)

* 144hz (same, 60hz is a little low nowadays, but 60+ is nice, like 120hz)

* FreeSync / G-Sync compatible

* Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) with 85w Power Delivery to power my 2018 Macbook Pro 15' while working!

Maybe I'm asking too much, as I couldn't find a monitor that has these four features together. Just hoping that someone knows better than me.

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

It just seems much easier to just plug it in with the AC adapter, rather than overspending for a monitor that can power it. I think only a few support 100W USB C charging.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
