Images not getting deleted in quotes..

VEXICUS

Lately, I have encountered this issue that whenever I quote someone and he/she has images in his post, then I am unable to delete those images while quoting him.

I am currently on Moto g3, Android 9, Pixel Experience Rom, Chrome 75.0.3770.101.

Unfortunately on Android the way the keyboard works makes it very difficult to implement things like this. On most platforms, we get an event for each keystroke which includes the key that was pressed, but on Android it just says that some key was pressed. This means that wrapping functionality on backspace is difficult and only works sometimes for Android.

Are you sure that it used to work?

I don't know if it used to work before.

But it works on PC.

I have recently started using this mobile site.

Ah right. Unfortunately this is one of the things that doesn't work so well on mobile, and that we can't really do anything about.

That isn't the point I'm trying to make.

This website isn't optimized for mobile devices.

It's not a problem with the website, it's a problem with the browser. The same page is already used on desktop on mobile (it just rearranges itself).

They can't fix this either.

Workaround: Click refresh page in your browser then when you click the text entry box you'll be given a notification saying the text is from your last session and do you want to clear it? Clicking this will remove everything and give you a fresh start.

It's not ideal but it works when you have something you cannot clear on mobile.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

The bin/garbage can button should do the same thing but without a refresh.
