great just got a 2090ti and now there coming out with better ones at the same price im sad now

Wait til you're old enough to buy cars and they come out with a huge HP bump the year after you buy your nice shiny sports car, cuz middle age crisis :(

Yeah, but that's life.  I mean you DID buy a $1200+ video card, which is kinda ridiculous in and of itself.  So I think you'll be fine :)  Besides, the Super 2080Ti isn't coming out all that soon, the others are tho.

Nvidia has been doing this since the FX line.

 

Its marketing, come out with a very high priced card then trump it with a similar card of the same gen. This makes some people buy one card then turn around and buy the other card because it better.
