Looking for a new router (dsl)

I was under the impression that all dsl came out of the wall in a standard RJ45 Andy so any router would work?

DSL comes out as RJ-11 and needs a DSL capable router to work.

No that is just an ethernet router... you need one that has DSL modem built in, or buy a DSL modem/bridge to connect that router. You will also need to make sure the Modem is compatible with your DSL provider.
