You could also buy a new headers and solder it onto the board.

I thought to buy new one and solder it, but the board looks thick.

You can get a PCI express expansion card with a USB 3.0 header on it.. I'm thinking about getting one myself..

I see you need to install some driver, I can't trust this driver is not virus.

I have USB Type-C™ port, with USB 3.1 Gen 2 support, so I thought to find an adapter to 20pin

it might stil work or you might have one dead USB port from that header now. I have two broken pins on mine and so one of the USB ports now dosnt work, nothing more too it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

It says ASUS and I have gigabyte, yesterday I checked the 2 board and they seem to be the same but 20$ for a change it won't work ?

Ah, I took a small look on PCI-E to 20 pin I think everyone card I saw need to install a driver.

Actually don't use that, it looks like it's only for Asus boards..

I would use this.. Everything requires a driver but this one has pretty good reviews..

I think I'll try to solder usb 3 header from my old pc(z77x-up5).

I just discovered I had 3x usb 3 headers.

6 years old board have more usb 3 headers then a 6 months old board.

In the past 2 decades I had so many gigabyte's board and they were all high-quality except z390 master.
