HELP! How should i upgrade my computer?

Hello,

I need some guidence right now.
My current specs are:
- Asus TUF Z370 Plus Gaming
- Intel I7-8700 (non-k)
- Hyperx Fury 2x4gb 2666mhz (Waiting on two more so its going to be 16gb)
- Msi 1060 3gb OC
- 500W psu
- 1 tb SHD
- Coolermaster cpu aircooler
- 3 fans (two front, one exhaust)

Currently i feel the pc doesnt really preforme that well (as i hoped) in games.
What is the best "budget" solutions to go for? - Is an 1080ti used a good solution?
I was considering either a Intel optane 32gb or an m.2 SSD 500Gb.
Currently the Gpu is about 66c while gaming ang so are the Cpu.

SO, my main question is - What is the best upgrades?

1080ti, 500gb + sata ssd (don't waste an m.2 slot for a non nvme drive).

If that psu isn't top tier it needs to go if you plan to run a 1080ti off it.

1080Ti's are getting harder to find a,d are not reasonably priced anywhere I have seen them. For Value, a true SSD and a GTX 1660Ti or RTX 2060 would be substantial upgrades.

Agreed, a WD Blue SN500 would be a great drive to add in as its only 70 bucks or something. The 1660ti tho is a much smaller upgrade from a 1060, but it is a fine one.

GPU upgrade will have the most impact in gaming.

SSD will improve responsiveness in browsing and other work.

The memory upgrade shouldld help.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

How much are you looking to spend? I would upgrade the graphics card if you can afford it. Otherwise, an SSD is your best option.

You can get some great deals buying used.

With £400ish you could do this, its all new parts. You can get better deals for the Vega56 or 64 used. Would also recommend swapping your PSU if you have doubts over its quality.

What currency are you using? You could pick up a RTX 2060 for around €365 and save up for a SSD.

If you see a used card for a decent price then totally go for it. eBay seems to be a good place to find deals.

Any more detail on this?  Need to know specifically which series or the model # on it to determine if it's a trash-fire or just meh in terms of whether you should keep using it.

Also it'd be nice to know what monitor you're using.  If you just run 1080p 60fps then a used GTX 1070/1070 Ti off eBay would be plenty of gaming FPS and leave you room to put a good SSD (and maybe better PSU) in the budget.

I wouldn't worry about buying 8GB more of RAM as most games will not need more than the 8GB you already have (in dual channel already).  That's more for future AAA-games unless you plan to run photoshop while you game.
